Guide for Authors

Acceptance Timeline Diagram

Authors simply submit the manuscript to Journal of Chemistry Letters  according  to the journal template which enclosed below:

Template

Publication Fee:

Manuscripts that are submitted to the Journal of Chemistry Letters will not be subject to any Article Processing Charges.

 Manuscript preparation

 Types of Contributions:

Research papers: These are full-length expositions of extensive and significant experimental and applied studies.

Reviews: These will usually be written at the invitation of Editors. Unsolicited reviews will be welcome but authors wishing to submit a review are requested to consult Editors before commencement.

 Short Communication: (2-5 pages)

Papers will be published in English. Manuscript should be submitted, in 1.5 spaced typing on pages of uniform size with a wide margin on the left. The authors are urged to arrange the subject matter clearly under headlines such as Introduction, Experimental, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgement, References, Tables, and Figure Captions.

Title: Papers should be headed by a concise and informative title. This should be followed by the complete name(s) and address of the author(s). The author(s) to whom correspondence should be addressed may be indicated with an asterisk.

Abstract: An abstract of 150-250 words should be included at the beginning of a paper. The abstract should comprise a brief and factual account of the contents and Conclusion of the paper as well as an indication of any new information presented and its relevance.

Keywords: A maximum of four to six keywords should be indicated below the abstract to describe the content of the manuscript.

Introduction: A full-length paper should have an introduction section to state the reasons for the work, with enough reference to previous works on the subject.

Experimental: This should be presented as a clear and detailed description of experimental procedures and analytical conditions to enable readers to carry out similar work. Supply sample preparation procedures, name, model, and configuration details of equipment used, and data handling methods.

Results and Discussion: The original and important findings should be stated.

 References

References should be numbered consecutively (numerals in square brackets) throughout the text and collected together in a reference list at the end of the paper. In the reference list, journals [1], books [2], thesis [3], and websites [4] should be cited by the following styles:

[1]    F. Borges, F. Roleira, N. Milhazes, L. Santana and E. Uriarte, Simple coumarins and analogs in medicinal chemistry: occurrence, synthesis and biological activity. Current Med. Chem., 12 (2005) 887-916.

[2]   W. Warwich, D. Bannister, Analytical Chemistry, VCH, New York (1985).

[3]   Y. Wilson, Synthesis and Pharmacological effect of Ketamin family, Ph.D. thesis, Oxford University, London, England (2000).

[4]   J. Winsent, Factors in the Emergence of Infectious Diseases., Available online in http: // www. Cdc.Gov/ncidod/EID/ied.him.

Tables: Tables should be typed in single spacing and placed in their original position in the manuscript with a suitable heading. Tables should be referred to in the text by using Arabic numerals. Each Table should have a title that makes the general meaning understandable without reference to the text.

Figures: Figures should be submitted either as original artwork or as high-quality reproductions. Figures should be numbered consecutively; and placed in their original position in the manuscript.

Crystallographic structure determinations should include the following items: crystal data, positional parameters (partial), selected bond lengths and bond angles, and a drawing of the crystal or molecular structure with numbering.

Nomenclature, units, and symbols: Should conform to the IUPAC convention. Chemical nomenclature should follow the IUPAC rules. All abbreviations should be preceded the first time they appear by the full name except for the SI symbols for units that are to be used without explanation.

Reviewing Process: The Journal of Chemistry Letters has a double-blind peer review system (the names and identities of authors and reviewers will be hidden from each other). The acceptance rate of the Journal of Chemistry Letters was 60% in 2020. The average time between submission and final decision is eight weeks and the average time between acceptance and publication is two weeks.

At least two independent reviewers review each article.

Proofs: Authors will receive a proof, which they are requested to correct and return as soon as possible.

Plagiarism (means copying from other people's writing) is not acceptable in the Journal of Chemistry Letters. Authors should not engage in plagiarism - verbatim or near-verbatim copying, or very close paraphrasing, of text or results from another’s work.

Authors should not also engage in self-plagiarism (also known as duplicate publication) - unacceptably close replication of the author’s own previously published text or results without acknowledgment of the source.

Journal of Chemistry Letters will search through websites and iThenticate software for all kinds of plagiarism.
